Bigshot Toyworks will be exhibiting at DesignerCon
2016 in Pasadena, CA on Nov 19 and 20. Attendees will be able to find us in Booth #901.
What is DesignerCon?
DesignerCon showcases "everything in the world of design, including apparel, plush, printing, sculpture, designer toys, and art ranging from fine to urban," which makes it a great show for us to show off our own design and manufacturing capabilities.
Bigshot Booth 901
At Booth 901, we will be featuring a wide selection of our past client work (action figures, sculptures, art objects, home goods and collectible toys) as well as our full range of our own IP: The Four Horsies
, The FUnicorn

, and several other Bigshot properties.
We will be selling several exclusive items at DCon, including the Black Death Edition Gnomeboy Anatomy 6-inch figure (above), which is a collaborative design by Bigshot Toyworks and Jason Freeny. There are 50 total Black Death Gnomes, and we will have a limited supply of them at DCon for $75 each. We will also have a case of the regular edition Gnomeboy Anatomy figure (limited to 200 pieces) for $65 each.
Our next exclusives are 2 color variants of our Southern Fried Gentleman resin figures: Old Timey Mono (in center) and Golden Crispy (right). The 2 exclusive color variants are $100 each and limited to just 20 pieces in each color. Regular edition Southern Friend Gentlemen (left) are $85 and made in a quantity of 100 pieces.
The final exclusive item is the gorgeous 14-inch Mother Earth art object designed by AngryBlue
. This is a 3D wall hanging sculpture complete with hanging hardware. Produced in a super limited editon of 100 pieces, this item will be available in limited quantities at our booth for $125 each. Angryblue himself will be on hand to sign at 1PM on Saturday Nov 19.

There are still DCon tickets available online here for $10 to $25 so if you are in the LA area, it's worth the very short trip to Pasadena! Hope to see many of you there.

We Like to Dream BIG!
Dream Big Friends is a project imagined by two friends working in the toy industry, who both oversee the creation of countless toys and collectibles of every shape and size for some of the biggest brands around.
It wasn't until they became parents, able to watch their own children as they play, learn and grow, that they came to realize there may be a better imaginative play experience for children. One that does not focus on blue or pink, super model or super hero, but instead focuses on dreaming big, doing what you love, and aspiring to be happy.
The goal was to create a series of 10-inch-tall, articulated dolls based on characters that are as smart, funny, inquisitive and rambunctious as the kids we all know in our daily lives, and develop a story where these individuals live and grow. Out of that dream, Yuna and the Dream Big Friends were born as companions for kids all over the world.
Instead of focusing on fashion or action, we focused on aspiration, fun, and producing a creative play experience through exploration of the world around us. We set out to make something that we would feel genuinely GOOD about presenting to the entire planet, as well as to our own children.
We did not wish to cover our dolls in makeup or introduce them in the latest high fashion trends. We wanted to allow each character's unique qualities to shine through, packed with the basic things they would have on an average day when extraordinary things can happen. Our doll's primary accessory is possibility!
We've brought our project to Kickstarter in hopes of giving it the best chance at becoming a reality. More importantly, we are working through Kickstarter in the hope of finding an early audience who believe in what we are trying to achieve, and who understand the alternate choices we want to bring to kids around the world.
We've done all of the design, set up, preparation and hard work... now we need your help so that we can fully fund the tooling and production costs ... but most of all we need your help sharing this project with your friends!
We wanted our first doll, and all of her friends, to feel like very real characters filled with rich stories and personality - vessels for your imagination. We think that her design is simply beautiful, just like we believe every person is beautiful regardless of height, color or body type.
We are all beautiful in our own way, and we can be anything we can imagine.
Our wish is that Yuna and her Dream Big Friends will encourage all kids to embrace what makes them who and what they are, inside and out.
Let's Meet Yuna!

The Kickstarter to fund the production of Yuna, the first character in our expansive Dream Big Friends line of positive, encouraging dolls, is well on its way! Click here to back the Kickstarter
- you can order the 10", fully articulated Yuna plus her kitty Kamata for just $40 + shipping!
We just got back from DCon where we revealed the Yuna prototypes to the public for the first time. It was a ton of fun and we had 100% super positive feedback - people LOVE her! Below is David Horvath, co-creator, snapping a pic of the prototypes.
Dream Big Friends is a doll line concept developed by David Horvath and Sun Min (Uglydoll
creators) and Klim Kozinevich (Bigshot Toyworks
creative lead) that fills a gap in the market for dolls which are fully encouraging of imagination, with positive messages and cute, approachable design.
For instance: Yuna loves science and rockets. She wants to own her own rocket company and fly to Mars, where she will be the first person to walk on the Red Planet! She loves K-pop music and hanging out at Giant Robot (dig the shirt!). She has a cat named Kamata and likes wearing funky socks, and her big red coat is her favorite piece of clothing. The idea is to make Yuna, and all of the Dream Big Friends characters, as real as possible, with unique and distinct qualities that makes them all special. By showing how different and special each character is, Dream Big Friends hopes to encourage both girls and boys to celebrate that which makes each of them special.
David, Sun Min and Klim have big plans to release more characters of all different backgrounds, ethnicities and yes, boy characters in addition to the girls. The first step is getting the Yuna Kickstarter
funded, and everything will take off from there.
Hope you can support us and get a pledge in! We even have smaller rewards for $5, $10 or $20 in case you want to back it but can't afford the $40:
Yuna measures 10" tall and she is a fully articulated doll with real clothing. Dream Big Friends dolls will be safety tested for kids, and the scheduled ship date is Q2/Q3 2016.
Our very patient customers are now enjoying the awesome sculptures we just sent to them! After a lengthy session packing and shipping a few hundred packages, many of our customers are now posting up pics of their hauls on Instagram and tagging us at @bigshotklim and @zerofuckshero - here are some of their shots! If you missed out on either of these releases, have no fear: Monkey with a Gun sculptures are still available in both Bronze and Bone colorways, and the elusive FUnicorn can be captured in Original Taste the Rainbow, Gold Medal Edition and Bad to the Bone colorways.
Both sculptures are solid, hefty and finely detailed. Monkeys are $150 each and created in collaboration with Mike Mignola.
Funicorns are $69 each and created out of the sparkle juice that surrounds Klim's spinal column and sometimes leaks from his ears. We don't judge over here.
Limited quantities of each figure left; we will bring some of each to NYCC Booth 208 if there are any left come October.
Note: all sculptures are kitten-friendly and cat-approved.
We are happy to announce that the Funicorns and the Mike Mignola Monkey with a Gun figures are now in transit on the way to our warehouse! Yesterday we received images of the figures being loaded up at the beginning of their journey. Sea shipment to the US take several weeks, so to make sure that you don't miss any important updates, you can sign up for our email list here: http://bigshottoyshop.com/pages/email-list
Mike Mignola will have some of the final production pieces of his Monkey with a Gun figure on display at Booth 4901. The rest of the Monkeys are just now beginning the journey from factory to our warehouse. We will post up a more specific arrival date once the ship is closer to port.
Our friends at 3D Retro will have a limited selection of the original 6-inch Maddies for sale at Booth 5045. Also on hand (but not on sale yet) will be the paint samples of the upcoming 4-inch Four Horsies of the Pocalypse figures. Stop by the 3D Retro/DKE booth to pick up some free Four Horsies swag (very limited availability)!
Jason Edmiston will be displaying FUnicorns at his Booth 4617 - stop by to check them out in person and grab some free swag! Jason painted the stupendous painting that became the box art on the FUnicorn boxes. FUnicorns are shipping with the Monkeys, so they will be here and shipping to customers in about one month.
Bigshot Toyworks has a TON more awesome toys at SDCC that we have developed and/or prototyped for our clients! Click here to read our full newsletter covering those toys and where to find them at SDCC.
The tail is where the magic is kept. Rainbow, swishy, magical tail.
The magical FUnicorn is multiplying in the magical factory right now and will magically appear on your doorstep later this year.
More exact details will be magically beamed to your computer. We are guessing the FUnicorns will ship out from magical factory sometime in May. Till then we will be peppering the internet with insane FUnicorn videos.
